How Much Does LLC Maintenance Cost?

LLCs require time and attention that has a cost. In most instances, the expense is well worth the protection that comes with an LLC. The cost of LLC maintenance can vary depending upon you and how you manage your LLC. The internal impact along with the external expenses will be discussed in more detail in a future post.

Generally, you will have attorney fees and accounting expenses associated with the proper maintenance of your LLC.

We find a lot of LLC owners and managers have no idea how to keep their LLC properly tuned-up and operational. Many set up their LLC themselves and have no way to know the legalities involved. Others used an accountant to form the LLC or some non-lawyer company. While it may have saved a few dollars at the start, it leaves the LLC riddled with holes and issues.

When’s the last time you looked at your LLC to see how it might be viewed from a legal challenge. In particular, a lawsuit to set aside the LLC protection so creditors can get to your personal assets. If you haven’t had a check up in a while, then it might be a good time to consider one.

LLC Check-Ups – Check the Oil

The check-up plans we offer are affordable for any LLC or business. The charge is a flat fee and the price depends on the plan you select. Starting with our 10 Point Check, we can evaluate your LLC for 10 maintenance points at a cost that doesn’t blow your budget.

What LLC Check-Ups Give You

An LLC check-up does a couple of things. First, it serves as education for LLC managers and members who may not know the legal requirements for LLCs. No, the 10-point check-up doesn’t cover all the things you may be legally expected to do. However, we try to cover the ones often missed and that we see as important to the typical LLC.

Second, the LLC check-up is almost like a mini audit of your LLC and how you are doing in terms of maintenance. By having an attorney go over matters with you one-on-one, you find out what you’re doing right as well as ways to improve what may not be up-to-date.

Third, the 10 Point Check Up only takes about an hour. So you can get back to business quickly without wasting your valuable time.

Fourth, these check-ups are great for reminding the more experienced LLC managers and members that they need to keep up with their maintenance. Knowing what to do without actually doing it results in the same outcome. Nothing gets done! The LLC isn’t giving you the protection it should unless you are legally compliant. If your LLC hasn’t been given the care and attention that good maintenance requires, the it’s not going to survive a legal challenge.
